🇪🇺 The chair is never neutral. It assigns position, directs posture, suggests hierarchy, and shapes the terms on which presence is shared. It is both a functional object and a spatial sentence, and, at times, an unassuming negotiator of relation. This exhibition brings together eleven chairs developed within the SEAM program’s second call, All About Chairs, each working through this understanding in different ways. Displayed together, the chairs do not form a single aesthetic direction. They reflect contrasting approaches to working with what is already familiar: adjusting proportions, reconsidering structure, and rethinking how a chair participates in the social and spatial conditions around it. The emphasis lies in the decisions made along the way, the points at which something is retained, adjusted, simplified, or allowed to remain unresolved. The works present a set of positions in motion. Each chair marks a way of thinking about sitting, making, and how we hold ourselves in relation to our surroundings. The focus is on negotiation rather than conclusion, on the subtle recalibrations that shape how an object behaves and how we behave within and with it. A chair is a position one takes. And positions, fortunately, can be rearranged.

🇦🇱 Karrigia nuk është kurrë neutrale. Ajo përcakton pozicionin, drejton qëndrimin, sugjeron hierarki dhe formëson mënyrën se si ndajmë praninë me njëri-tjetrin. Njëherazi është objekt funksional dhe një fjali hapësinore, dhe, në raste të tjera, një negociatore e heshtur e marrëdhënieve. Kjo ekspozitë sjell së bashku njëmbëdhjetë karrige të zhvilluara në thirrjen e dytë të programit SEAM, Gjithçka mbi Karriget, secila e trajtuar sipas këndvështrimit personal të pjesëmarrësve. Të ekspozuara së bashku, karriget nuk krijojnë një drejtim të vetëm estetik. Ato pasqyrojnë qasje kontrastuese mes procesit të punës dhe
asaj që është e njohur: rregullimin e përmasave, rishikimin e strukturës dhe rimendimin e mënyrës sesi një karrige merr pjesë në marrëdhëniet sociale dhe hapësinore përreth saj. Theksi qëndron në vendimet e marra gjatë procesit—momentet kur diçka mbahet, rregullohet, thjeshtohet ose lihet e pazgjidhur. Veprat paraqesin një sërë pozicionesh në lëvizje. Çdo karrige shënon një mënyrë të të menduarit rreth uljes, prodhimit dhe mënyrës sesi pozicionohemi në raport me hapësirën. Vëmendja është te negociimi, jo te përfundimi; te rikalibrimet delikate që formësojnë mënyrën se si sillet një objekt dhe mënyrën se si sillemi ne në raport me të. Një karrige është një pozicion që merret. Dhe pozicionet, për fat të mirë, mund të riorganizohen.
