The Albanian Cinematheque in this first edition of Tirana Art Weekend has the pleasure to present the Albanian premiere of Italian filmmaker Walter Fasano’s stylish 2020 documentary PINO (2020). The doc is a portrait of the iconic sculptor and designer Pino Pascali (1935-1968) who tragically died in a motorcycle accident just as his career was rising. Fasano, best known for his creative partnership with Oscar-nominated director Luca Guadagnino, follows one of Pascali’s innovative art works as it’s brought to a museum in Apulia. PINO won best Italian Documentary at the Torino Film Festival, and has gone on to screen at numerous art galleries and film festivals around the world. Director Walter Fasano will introduce his film online and answer questions along with Albanian Cinematheque director Iris Elezi and programmer Thomas Logoreci in this collaboration with Destil Cultural Hub. The film will be screened in Italian and English with Italian subtitles.

Kinemateka Shqiptare në këtë edicion të parë të Tirana Art Weekend ka kënaqësinë të prezantojë premierën shqiptare të dokumentarit elegant PINO (2020) të kineastit italian Walter Fasano. Dokumenti është një portret i skulptorit dhe stilistit ikonik Pino Pascali (1935-1968) i cili vdiq tragjikisht në një aksident me motor, pikërisht kur karriera e tij po rritej. Fasano, i njohur më së miri për partneritetin e tij krijues me regjisorin e nominuar për Oscar, Luca Guadagnino, ndjek një nga veprat inovative të artit të Pascali-t teksa sillet në një muze në Pulia. Filmi PINO fitoi çmimin për dokumentarin më të mirë italian në Festivalin e Filmit në Torino dhe ka vazhduar të shfaqet në galeri të shumta arti dhe festivale filmi në mbarë botën. Regjisori Walter Fasano do të prezantojë filmin e tij online dhe do t’u përgjigjet pyetjeve së bashku me drejtorin e Kinematekës Shqiptare Iris Elezi dhe programuesin Thomas Logoreci në këtë bashkëpunim me Destil Cultural Hub. Filmi do të shfaqet në italisht dhe anglisht me titra italiane.
